Overview
The Create Shift page (Shift Table) allows you to define named work shifts with specific timings. These shifts are then assigned to employees via the Schedule Shift page. Every organization needs at least one shift defined before employees can be scheduled.

Common Shift Configurations
| Shift Name | Start | End | Meal Break | Work Hours |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| General Shift | 9:00 AM | 6:00 PM | 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM | 8 hours |
| Morning Shift | 6:00 AM | 2:00 PM | 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM | 7.5 hours |
| Night Shift | 10:00 PM | 6:00 AM | 2:00 AM - 2:30 AM | 7.5 hours |
| Half Day | 9:00 AM | 1:00 PM | — | 4 hours |
Tip: For night shifts that span across midnight (e.g., 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM), set the end time to the next day — the system handles date crossover automatically.
Note: Shift duration (excluding breaks) determines the expected work hours. Attendance reports use this to calculate overtime and shortfall hours.
