Tasks, Calls and Meetings — FAQs

How do tasks, calls and meetings behave between a lead and My Work in Tazk CRM?

They are the same records in both places: anything added, edited or deleted on a lead shows in My Work, and the other way round, as long as it is linked to that lead. A task with no lead is an internal task and shows only in My Work. Your role decides whose records you can see, and a deleted item stays on the lead's timeline as a line saying who deleted it.

Why isn't a task I added in My Work on the lead?

A task shows on a lead only when it is linked to that lead. Open the task (⋮ → Edit) and check the Lead field — a task with no lead is an internal task and appears only in My Work → Tasks.

Why can't I see a colleague's call or task?

Your role decides whose records you can see — only your own, your team's, or everyone's. Ask your administrator if you need wider access.

Who owns a task I add from the lead?

You do. To give it to someone else, open it with ⋮ → Edit and change the Task Owner, or add it from the full form.

Where does the follow-up task from a call go?

On the same lead, owned by you, due on the date you picked. It is listed on the lead's Tasks tab and in My Work → Tasks.

Can I move a call to a different lead?

No — a call stays with the lead it was logged against, because it is already part of that lead's history. Delete it and log it again on the right lead.

What happens when I delete a task, call or meeting?

It disappears from the lead and from My Work at once. The lead's timeline keeps a line saying it was deleted, and by whom.

Does editing a repeating task stop it repeating?

No. The task keeps its repeat setting unless you switch Repeat off.
