How Holidays & Special Permissions Work
- Admin declares holidays and special permissions for specific employee categories and dates.
- During Attendance Process, the system checks if a date is a declared holiday for the employee's category — if yes, it marks the day accordingly.
- Special permissions grant a time window on a specific date — employees within that category are allowed to be absent during the permitted hours without it counting as late or leave.
- These feed into Salary Process — holidays follow the payroll configuration for extra pay (if enabled), and special permissions don't affect salary.
