Attendance Policy

Overview

Attendance policies define the attendance rules for each employee category. Different categories (Confirmed, Interns, Probationers, Part-time, Temporary, Trainees, Leased) can have different rules for work hours, grace time, late/leave calculation, breaks, permissions, overtime, and auto clockout. These policies are applied automatically when attendance is processed.

How Attendance Policy Works

Each employee belongs to an Employee Category (e.g., Confirmed, Intern, Trainee). The attendance policy assigned to that category controls how the system calculates their late days, half-day leaves, overtime, breaks, and permissions. When attendance is processed via Attendance Process, the system applies the matching policy rules to determine the final attendance status for each employee before salary processing.
