Overview
Device Attendance under Configuration → Device Attendance allows you to register biometric devices (ESSN & ZkTeco only) for employee attendance. Once a device is configured, employees can mark attendance using the registered biometric device at the assigned location.
Device Configuration List
The list shows all registered devices with: Serial Number, Device Location, Port, Device Name, Device type (e.g., In/Out Different Machine), Action (pencil to edit), and Detail (eye icon to view). Click + to add a new device.
Configure Device Attendance (+ button)
Click + to open the Configure Device Attendance dialog. Only ESSN & ZkTeco devices are allowed. Fill in:
- Device Name — Name for the device (required)
- Serial Number — Device serial number (required)
- Device Location — Select the location where the device is placed (required)
- Biometric Config — Select the biometric configuration type (required)
Click Submit to register the device, or Cancel to discard.
How Device Attendance Works
Register a biometric device with its serial number and assign it to a location. When employees punch in/out on the device, the attendance data is synced to the system automatically. The attendance is then processed through Attendance Process using the employee's attendance policy rules before salary processing.
