Overview
The Configuration module lets you customize Tazk Assets to fit your organization. Click Configuration in the sidebar to open it.
The left panel lists four sections. Click one to open it; the section you are in is marked with a blue bar on its left.

Configuration Sections
Custom Fields
Custom Fields let you record information on an asset beyond the default fields, such as a serial number, rack location, or model. Each custom field belongs to an asset type, so it appears only on assets of that type.
Configuration opens on this section. The Custom Fields list has these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Asset Type | The asset type the field is added to, for example LAPTOP. |
| Name | The name of the field. |
| Type | The kind of input the field takes, for example Text Field. |
| Created On | The date the field was created. |
| Actions | The pencil icon edits the field; the bin icon deletes it. |
To add a field, click the + button above the list. To find one, type in the Search here box at the top right.

Configure SMS gateway settings for sending alerts and reminders via text messages.
Set up email server configuration (SMTP) for sending email notifications, reminders, and reports.
Configure WhatsApp Business API integration for sending renewal reminders and audit notifications via WhatsApp.
