How do I process attendance for the month in Tazk Payroll?
Open Attendance Process and click Run Attendance. Choose the year and month (the previous month by default), narrow the employees with the filters if needed, and click Run Process, then Proceed. The run appears in the list as Processed. Open it to check each employee's month and correct any day, and when it is right click Final Confirm — the attendance is then locked for salary processing.
What does the Attendance Process page show?

"Review and manage attendance processing for payroll". The cards describe the latest run:
- Current Period — the month and its attendance cycle dates.
- Employees Included — employees with attendance for the period out of all employees employed in it (for example "70 of 72").
- Last Processed — when it was last run, and by whom.
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Period | Month and cycle dates — click to open it |
| Processed By / Last Processed | Who ran it and when |
| Employees | Employees included out of the total |
| Status | Processing, Processed, Partial, Confirmed or Superseded |
| Latest Version | The name of the version in use |

The filter icon shows one month or year. Sort by Period, Last Processed or Employees, and choose 20, 50 or 100 rows per page.
How do I run attendance?
- Click Run Attendance. Process New Attendance opens with the attendance cycle shown (for example 01/08/2026 – 31/08/2026; a category whose cycle starts on the 15th runs 15th to 14th).
- Choose the Year and Month — the previous month by default. The current month stays locked until the previous month is Final Confirmed.
- Check the figures — Shift Assigned, No Shift Assigned and Employees in Attendance. Use Filters (category, department, location) to limit who is processed.
- In Select Employees everyone is ticked; untick anyone to leave out. Each row shows the shift and whether the employee is already in attendance.
- Click Run Process (N), check the month, cycle and counts, and click Proceed.
Processing runs in the background; the period then shows as Processed. Employees on different attendance cycles must be run in separate batches.
How do I check and correct an employee's attendance?
- Click the period (or the eye icon). The cards show the status, employees, versions and audit events, and the roster lists each employee's total days, pay days, and count of each status (P, A, WO, H, PL, LOP and so on), late ins, early outs and manual changes.
- Click an employee to open their month. Each day shows the shift, check-in and check-out, status, late, early, overtime and work hours.
- Tick the days to change, choose Change status to, enter the Reason, and click Apply Changes. Use Previous / Next Employee to move on.
Manual changes are kept even if the period is re-processed.
What are versions?
Each run starts with a version. Open Versions to create a named draft (for example "Saturday OT fix"), edit it, apply it (the previous version becomes superseded), or compare two versions. A version's changes can be exported to Excel from its edit page.
How do I confirm the period for salary?
When the attendance is correct, open the period and click Final Confirm. The attendance is locked and can be used for salary processing; it can no longer be re-processed or edited. If something must change, click Reopen Period and enter the reason (it is recorded in the audit timeline).
