Why is the price on the page at all?

Because you asked, and because we would rather you self-select than sit through a call to find out we are too expensive or too cheap for you. Every figure here is per outlet per year. If your situation does not fit one of these six, that is worth a conversation — but it should be a conversation you choose to have after seeing the numbers, not before.

Is the free plan a trial?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no countdown on it. Counter Free runs one device with two staff logins and up to 75 bills a day, indefinitely, and it includes real billing, day close and reports. The daily cap is soft — cross it and you get a banner, not a locked screen, because software that stops a sale during a rush is worse than no software. You upgrade when the shape of your business outgrows it.

Per outlet, per user, or per bill?

Accepted Answer

Per outlet, per year. Adding a staff login within your plan's limit costs nothing, and a busy Saturday costs nothing. Enterprise is the only plan priced by count — ₹47,988 per outlet per year with a three-outlet minimum — because a group of eight branches genuinely uses more of the system than a group of three.

Is GST included in these prices?

No — 18% GST applies on top of the subscription and you get a proper tax invoice with our GSTIN, which most restaurants claim back as input credit. That is entirely separate from the 5% your restaurant charges its own customers on food, which Tazk handles inside the product along with the goods, Section 9(5) and excise cases.

Which plan includes the accounting?

Books are bundled from Tazk Restaurant (₹19,999) upward. On Counter and Restaurant Lite they are available as an add-on rather than being included, because a single-counter tea shop generally does not want a full ledger on day one. If you are choosing between Lite plus the add-on and the flagship, the flagship is usually the better buy once recipes and purchases are in the picture.

Can I pay monthly instead of yearly?

Yes, at a premium — monthly billing runs about 20% more over a year, which is the honest cost of the shorter commitment rather than a penalty. Most outlets on Counter through Tazk Restaurant set up an auto-debit mandate; the larger editions are usually settled by payment link.

Do I have to buy hardware from you?

Accepted Answer

No. Tazk Restaurant runs on ordinary Android tablets and phones, and you are free to buy them anywhere. We do offer kits if you would rather not source them yourself — a counter kit with a tablet and an 80mm printer, or a dine-in kit that adds a kitchen printer and a cash drawer — but they are a convenience, not a requirement, and the software does not care where the hardware came from.

What if I start on the wrong plan?

Move up whenever you like and you pay the difference for the time remaining, worked out pro-rata rather than negotiated. Nothing you have entered is lost when you change edition — a higher plan reveals more of the same system, it does not migrate you into a different one.

Are these prices final?

Accepted Answer

They are the published rate card and what you will be charged if you sign up today. As with any product still early in its life, they may change for new customers over time — but a change never reaches an outlet mid-term, and renewal pricing is told to you before the renewal, not on the invoice.
